I originally entered this ride thinking it was on the 17th of August, only to be reminded
by the EGB website that the date had changed to the 13th of July 3 weeks before hand!! Not my brightest
of moments. No worries as Dylan had been kept ticking over since the Peak District ride so another
attempt at 64 should be fine.
I had not ridden at Cranham since 2004 on Dougal in the 50k class. So even without the route changes
it was going to be a newish route for me. I am happy to say it rode as well as I remembered it did and
Dylan put up a good showing in his first multi loop ride. He even offered to canter out of the venue at the
start of the second loop and at the end of both loops was ready to vet in about 2 minutes. Unfortunatley I
forgot to take my GPS with me so no reading for this page. However I did discover that my own sense of speed
over the ground was still pretty acurate.
